The play in the other eleven divisions begins next weekend (Saturday/Sunday
10/11 September 2005) and those teams who narrowly missed out on promotion
last year will be keen to make amends this time. DML Woolwell (third last
season) could well be the ones to watch in Division One South having added
England no. 32 Senior Chris Brown to an already impressive squad of Paul
Whiting, James Whiteman, Marketa Myskova, Mike Short and Kevin Buddell.
Relegated Seasiders I from Blackpool will start as favourites in Division
One North and although they have lost the services of Adam Bleakley and
Jonathan Taylor their team of John Hilton, Greg Baker, Shi Guang and John
Rankin still looks to have all the credentials necessary to take this
division by storm.
Division Two South looks like being one of the most evenly contested on
paper with at least four very strong teams capable of winning it on their
day. Relegated Byng Hall I (Phil Cox, Mark Romano, Mark Brown, Will Power
and Chris Knight) are the obvious favourites although York Gardens I (Dorian
Robinson, Wing Yuan Chan, Steve Holloway, Peter Barrow and Dave Bangerter),
EBS-Orange Northampton I (Eser Maniga, Olutoye Boyede, Steve Munson, Dave
Gatiss and Ryan Keates) and Generation II (Victor Imiseev, Graham Toole,
Valmiki Sinanin, Danny Burns and Roger Hookey) are all equally capable of
making their mark.
Runaway winners of Division Three North - McLymont National will be looking
to make their mark in Division Two North and their side of Nick Baxter,
David Low, Nicol Craig, Ross Martin, Lewis Wilson and Greig Matthew look
very capable of winning this year as well.
Elsewhere Mossford, who were
untroubled winners of Division Four South last season will certainly find it
harder in Division Three South but having added Euan Liddle to their ranks
it wouldn't be that surprising if they came out on top for a second
successive year.
Guinness Polska TTC I look to be the outstanding team in
Division Three South. Darek Zurowski joins them in the top ranked position
and with another former London Progress Premier Division star Tomasz
Gretschell playing at number two they have a real top-half cutting edge
about them.
