The world’s largest Table Tennis Company, Double Happiness, (DHS – Shanghai, China) have agreed to a long-term sponsorship deal with the eight-times British League Champions, London Progress.

The Sponsorship agreement is one of the best ever for a UK Table Tennis club and is a real boost for London Progress in its determination to grow the sport in the capital.

This is the first time DHS have looked to seriously invest in the UK market, having been the official equipment supplier at the last three Olympics and official supplier to the Chinese National team they have a very high profile in World Table Tennis.

In a deal, negotiated by TTlinks (The sole UK importer of DHS equipment), Charlie Childs (Sales Director) says ‘What a fantastic opportunity to create a great partnership between the worlds largest Table Tennis company and the most successful UK club over the last decade’.

London Progress are really excited about the new deal, which will see the HQ at Southall, transformed with a completely new range of DHS equipment and the British League teams re-branded DHS London Progress for the start of 06/07 campaign.

A key consideration for this deal was the community focus of the London Progress club and the 2012 Olympics in the city, Charlie Alverez, one of the club’s senior coaches enthused, ‘We are really looking forward to using DHS rubbers and blades this season, great equipment, as used by the Chinese Olympic and World Champions!’
