Matt Ware kicks off the season early, by taking double-gold at the Molndals Hosttavling, Gothenberg Open, on Saturday 18th August.
Not content with the boys 17 title, after a good morning's work, he forged ahead. Tn the afternoon, in the boys 20, unseeded Matt made a clean sweep, taking out the number 3, and number 1 seeds, on the way to the title. In a thrilling 5-setter, Matt came out on top against another Progress player, 18 year old, Kalle Relfson.
The 10 weeks of intensive training in Sweden, has paid off, and Matt is now looking forward to coming home for the UK School games, for this weekend's Coventry showpiece (the games will be featured on Channel 4), playing alongside fellow Progress players, Garth Kinlocke and Hannah Hicks, all of which are representing England South West.
