Manager's Update #8
18-Nov-2007

  1. The London Progress Schools programme is in full flow at present with DHS London Progress coaches in action every day of the week. On Monday's Bhuwan Limbu runs the Featherstone session, Jason Sugrue runs the St Gregory's session in Kenton and Jon Kaufman delivers a four hour block at the Barnes Primary School.

  2. On Super Tuesday DHS London Progress is in action in five schools, Egle at Fitzjohns Primary in Camden, Bhavin at the London Academy in Edgware, our two Chinese coaches supporting Jason Sugrue at the West London Academy and Jon kaufman, in his role as Community Coach, working throughout the day in the London Borough of Kensington. This Kensington work has now developed into a serious cadet training session on Sunday's at the Kensington Sports Centre with Jaing Zhi Tao in the lead role.

  3. Wednesday's sees the focus shift back to the borough of Ealing where at Southall, DHS London Progress is running, in conjunction with Brentford Football Club, a TT Networker leadership course for the year 10 students of Villiers High School. We then relocate to the West London Academy to conduct a most enjoyable session with the students at the John Chilton Special School, where students with servere physical disabilities prove that disability is no barrier to playing table-tennis.

  4. Thursday's see Ashley Stokes and our Chinese coaches working with Vidal Graham at the Capital City Academy in Brent before the club reassembles at Southall for the evening elite training session directed by Jason Sugrue.

  5. Friday's are no rest days either as Bhavin continues his coaching work at Edgware and DHS London Progress prepares for its home matches in the Wembley & Harrow and South & West Middlesex Leagues.

  6. As for the weekends, London Progress steps up into top gear with its regional and national tournament programme while Emmanuel Acar and Jasper continue the long-running sessions at Kensington.
