DHS London Progress top junior Matt Ware, has been very busy since the summer. Following a six-month intensive training and playing programme for the Molndals Club, Gothenburg in Sweden, Matt returned for a few days in early December, to visit his family.
He then packed his bags once again to fly out to Faro, where he played as part of the England junior team, alongside Damien Nicholls, Will Maybanks and Chris Doran, that competed in the Portuguese Youth Open.
It was good to catch up with him and his father Geoff at the Club on Sunday 23rd December, where they both spent an afternoon training with many of the club's members.
Matt is once again on his travels shortly after the Christmas & New Year celebrations. He has been fortunate to be selected to play in the England junior squad that competes in the German Youth Open, in Frankfurt from the 4th-7th January 2008.
We hope to see the talented 16 year old Poole-based player in the DHS London Progress colours next, in our premier side at the Junior British League second weekend to be held at Wolverhampton, on Saturday 9th/Sunday 10th February.
