Manager's Update #15
21-Jan-2008

  1. Ashley stokes takes Wembley & Harrow Open Championships and stokes and Vidal Graham take the doubles title. A great double for London Progress.
More gold for London Progress as Rafi Marom, Emran Hussein, Ryan & Jake Collins take the JBL Division 1 title.

  2. Progress girls played brilliantly but had to settle for silver in the JBL girl’s premier division. Well done to Michelle Qvach, Hannah Hicks, Lindsey Armstrong and Reena Ardeshana.

  3. Charleigh Kirby also had a good JBL weekend when she unexpectedly went out on loan to St Andrews. Playing in Division 1 won 6 out of 10 against all girls ranked above her.

  4. Well done to Ramone Cambell, James Han, Charleigh Kirby, Danny Spaull, Mohammed Abdulahi and Rumandeep Sahota for qualifying for the all London LJTTS finals this Saturday 9:00am at Southall.

  5. One of the highlights of the season saw London Progress 2 defeat Polska in the semi-finals of the Wembley & Harrow Cup where Ashley Stokes and Andrew Hagger came from 8-1 down in the final game of the final match to win the overall game 5-4. Great work by captain Ashley Hayes and his team.

  6. DHS London Progress 1 will play their semi-final against Eastcote 2 next week.

  7. This season’s non-Prem British league was completed this weekend with all 5 of our teams finishing in 3rd place. This was a good result given a long catalogue of illness, injury, unavailability and unreliability in the final weekend. Great performances by Koji Hirota, Bhavin Savjani, Bhuwan Limbu, Emran Hussein, Garth Kinlocke, Matthew Ware and Rafi Marom throughout the season.

  8. Finally, a special welcome to Mr Chen who joins the DHS London Progress Coaching Team as part of TT links Chinese Coaching Team.
