10 Reasons I Hate Table-Tennis
- It takes up way too much of my time.
- I have no natural talent for the game whatsoever. Some people can even play, effortlessly it seems, with their mobile phones!
- I can't just sense where the ball will be returned. Why can't I manage to watch the ball like other players can?
- I can't just play games, games, games like so many other players seem to do. I have to practice.
- My timing has to be just right *all* the time.
- So many people are much better than I am.
- I can’t just run off and play with other players leaving my team mates to umpire league matches by themselves.
- I just can't seem to vegetate in front of the television forcing me to go to the club.
- Playing well seems more difficult than developing a high-availability solutions for mission-critical database systems (which I do for a living) or brain surgery?
- My problem is that, for some reason yet to be understood by me, I really do love it.
